Kinesiology comes from the Greek word kineses which means motion. In basic terms it is the study of muscles and body movement. Kinesiology monitors muscle movement in order to ascertain information that will allow the therapist to reach a course of action to bring about physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Kinesiology is the study of the mechanics of bodily motion, especially muscle movements and their relationship to our body systems.

Kinesiology (pronounced Kin-easy-ology)
